SHOWMANSHIP CLINIC
What is Showmanship? Showmanship is a division of equitation (based primarily on the rider/handler’s skills) where a person handles the horse from the ground. The pair are asked to perform a prescribed pattern, which demonstrates safety, control, and precision. This discipline not only teaches the fundamentals of how to lead a horse safely and effectively, but also builds confidence and skills that apply when riding the horse!
Interested in competing? Showmanship is a wonderful and stress-free way to get into the show arena…on your feet first! With the growing interest in our Arabian breed, it is now a class that is available to both youth and adult amateurs alike – so fun! Our clinic will focus on the initial ground manners it takes to work as a pair with your horse, how to teach your horse to do Showmanship, reading and executing patterns, how to practice, horse and rider show preparation, and much more!
